Introduction

Dr. Sonia Raju Aluvilayil is a passionate and skilled fertility and IVF specialist with over 10 years of extensive experience in the field of obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive medicine. She brings global exposure and a deep understanding of infertility treatment protocols, having worked across reputed institutions in India and abroad. Dr. Sonia is known for her patient-centric approach and proficiency in treating high-risk pregnancies, complex infertility cases, and recurrent IVF failures. She is now a proud member of the Seeds of Innocens IVF family.

Work Experience

Dr. Sonia began her career with a 3-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at TNMC, Mumbai, where she gained hands-on experience in handling complex emergencies such as eclampsia, placenta previa, and difficult cesarean deliveries. She then served as an Assistant Professor at GMC Latur, managing around 8000 deliveries annually and training residents in both clinical and surgical procedures.

She pursued a Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine at the prestigious Craft Hospital & Research Centre, Kerala, where she was trained in managing male and female infertility cases, including ovulation induction, IUI, IVF/ICSI, and embryology lab techniques. She has independently performed oocyte retrievals, IUIs, follicular scans, and embryo transfers.

Currently, Dr. Sonia is working as a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Ibra Hospital, Oman. Since 2022, she has been managing critical obstetric cases including multiple pregnancies, placenta previa, and molar pregnancies. She is also actively involved in infertility services, including second-stage cesarean deliveries, laparotomies, and hysteroscopies, and has been instrumental in establishing IUI services at the hospital.
