What is the PGTA Test Cost?
The PGTA test cost varies, as this may depend on the clinic or the number of embryos. In general, the PGT-A testing could range from about 25000-50000 above the general costs of the IVF procedure. Even though this seems like a very high cost, it must be realized that PGT-A can eventually save more money in the long term by avoiding repeated IVF cycles or miscarriages, which are emotional and expensive.
Why is PGT-A Done?
PGT-A is done to screen embryos for chromosomal abnormalities (aneuploidy) before transfer, to improve IVF success and reduce miscarriage risk.
What Does PGT-A Check?
PGT-A checks embryos for:
How is PGT-A Performed?
PGT-A is performed during an IVF cycle:
Eggs are fertilized and embryos are cultured to day 5 (blastocyst).
A few cells are removed from each embryo for testing.
Cells are analyzed for chromosomal number (e.g. NGS or array).
Results identify euploid embryos; one or more are transferred in a fresh or frozen cycle.
How to Prepare for PGT-A
You will be in an IVF cycle. No special preparation beyond standard IVF protocols. Your doctor will confirm timing for biopsy and transfer.
Understanding PGT-A Results
Results indicate which embryos are euploid (chromosomally normal) and suitable for transfer. Euploid embryos have higher implantation and live birth rates and lower miscarriage risk. Your doctor will explain which embryos can be transferred.
Cost of PGT-A
PGT-A cost depends on the number of embryos tested and the laboratory. Contact us for current PGT-A test cost and to book an appointment.
